Major General Uri Gordin recently approved the entry of female fighters from the "Eagle" combat collection battalion into southern Lebanon. The fighters gathered intelligence, identified terrorists and directed attacks from the ground and from the air. 

Two of them spoke about the precedent-setting operation: "We brought information that they had not seen and failed to bring for many years".
