Today, Sunday, Emirati (UAE) academic Dr. Abdul-Khalek Abdullah warned of the possibility of a Gulf state conquest by Iran amid Western silence in the face of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Abdul Halik Abdullah, tweeted, saying: "Russia's invasion of Ukraine may whet Iran's appetite to invade a Gulf state, so the scenario of an invasion of Kuwait will be repeated."

The Crown Prince's adviser to Abu Dhabi added, "So what will be the position of America, which so far has only contented itself with sanctions without sending its troops to defend a democratic European state, will it defend a Gulf state?"

The UAE academic continued, "Can America be trusted after today? This is the biggest challenge to Gulf security in the future."

The tweet of Abdul-Khalek Abdullah, who is close to Ben Zayed, is in line with Iran's approach to reviving the nuclear deal during the current talks with Western countries in Vienna.

And yesterday, Saturday, Iran announced that it had agreed to a roadmap with the International Atomic Energy Agency to resolve any existing issues regarding the country's nuclear program by the end of June.
