British Maritime Trade Organization: 3 small boats attempted to attack a merchant ship, northwest of Hodeida port in Yemen.

Exchanges of fire were recorded between the crew on the ship and armed men on the boats.
The ships of the multinational force arrived on the scene.
US Army: 4 small Houthi boats with Iranian backing attacked the container ship MAERSK HANGZHOU from a distance of 20 meters and tried to board it. The ship's security team and American helicopters returned fire. After an exchange of fire, 3 boats were sunk and their crews were killed. The fourth one escaped.
