WATCH: Crucial context for people who don’t follow EU football

The attacks against Israeli supporters today in Amsterdam have nothing to do with football.

The supporters of Ajax Amsterdam who Macabbi Tel-Aviv played against (and lost 5-0) are called the “Super Jews” and have had great relations with all Israeli teams for decades.

Havila Naga is one of the songs their supporters often sing at their home stadium.

This video shows ethnic Dutch Ajax supporters partying with the supporters of Maccabi Tel Aviv ahead of yesterday’s game between the two teams.
