Israel carried out a series of airstrikes in the Hermel area of Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley, targeting Hezbollah’s Radwan Force bases.
According to the IDF, the sites were used by the group to store weapons, as well as to stage and train operatives for attacks against Israel. The airstrikes reportedly struck areas where Hezbollah terrorists had been identified, disrupting operational activity.
The Radwan Force, Hezbollah’s elite unit, has long been central to the group’s offensive planning. At the targeted bases, terrorists engaged in live-fire drills and training with various weapons, underscoring the sites’ role in preparing for attacks on Israeli forces and territory.
The IDF emphasized that the strikes were aimed at preventing imminent threats and degrading Hezbollah’s operational capabilities.
