The Kataeb leader says Hezbollah is “everywhere,” notes its global presence, and recalls past attacks attributed to the group abroad.
Lebanese MP Samy Gemayel, leader of the Kataeb Party, said on Al Jadeed TV on December 17, 2025 that he has no concrete information confirming that Hezbollah carried out the Hanukkah attack against Jews at Bondi Beach.
At the same time, Gemayel stressed that Hezbollah is effectively “everywhere,” asserting that Hezbollah and Iran make key decisions for Lebanon and that Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps officers inside the country are directly running Hezbollah.
He said the group maintains an international footprint, including in South America, and pointed to its past involvement in attacks against Israelis abroad—citing the 2012 bombing at Burgas Airport, where a bus carrying Israeli tourists was targeted.
