Iranian officials report that an Iranian missile engineer who goes by the name of Saeed Thamardar Matalak was killed last week in the city of Shiraz, southern Iran.
Iranian opposition sources reported that Matalak's parents were threatened not to reveal the news of their son's death to the media, nor the details of his funeral and obituaries, to which the title "martyr" was attached. He was brought to burial in the "Dar Al Rahma" cemetery in the city of Shiraz.
Muhammad Alawazi, the editor of the Iranian section of the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas, went further and wrote that the assassination of nuclear scientists and Revolutionary Guards officers is evidence of the widespread failure of the Iranian security services.
