New system delivers field-level 3D mapping, sensor integration and offline mission planning for battalion intelligence officers
Asio Technologies, in cooperation with Israel’s Ministry of Defense DDR&D, the IDF Intelligence Directorate and the IDF Ground Forces Command, has completed development of Taurus (known in the IDF as “Noam”), a tactical battle management computer intended for battalion intelligence officers. Asio will supply hundreds of the units to the IDF, the company and defence partners said.
Taurus is designed to deliver intelligence directly to front-line units and to enable operational autonomy at the battalion level. The hardware and software package aggregates data from drones and ground sensors, supports terrain analysis and produces planning products and target sets for use in dynamic battlefield conditions.
The system is intended to allow battalion intelligence officers to operate with up-to-date information without constant reliance on central command systems.
