Major General Uzi Dayan, former national security advisor to the Prime Minister of Israel, discussed the complex security situation in the Middle East during this NEWSRAEL broadcast.
He explained that Israel is caught in the middle of conflicting agreements - a Memorandum of Understanding between Tehran and Washington that includes a ceasefire, while simultaneously dealing with a framework agreement regarding Lebanon that doesn't align with the US-Iran agreement.
General Dayan outlined Israel's defensive preparations against potential Iranian attacks through ballistic missiles, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, and other militant groups, while emphasizing that Israel will not be a target for Washington's disagreements with Tehran.
He also discussed the situation in Lebanon where Israel is implementing a pilot program to test the Lebanese government's ability to exercise sovereignty over their country, and highlighted the need for a just solution in Gaza.
