President Isaac Herzog participated in the Selichot prayer ceremony at the Western Wall, together with the Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz. Herzog met there with lookout observers and hostage survivors Karina Ariev, Agam Berger and Naama Levy who also came to pray. His office stated that he began with a prayer for the safety of IDF soldiers and security forces, followed by reciting Psalms in prayer for the return of the hostages and recovery of the wounded. He also added in his prayer comfort for the bereaved families and a swift return of the displaced communities to their homes and native landscapes.
