In 1943, courageous Jewish fighters in the Warsaw Ghetto launched a daring, desperate revolt against Nazi oppression, battling fiercely for nearly a month, with 7,000–13,000 Jews killed, about half of them burnt alive or suffocated.
On April 19, 1943, Michael stood up against the Nazis in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. 82 years later, we share his story and remember the bravery of those who fought against the Nazis.
