About 80 years ago, the elderly couple in the center of the picture were a 5-year-old boy whose sister was murdered in Transnistria and he himself was saved by a chain of miracles - and next to him a hidden baby girl whom a noble Amsterdam resident saved.

Later they became my parents, and not only mine...
