Far-right online influencer ridiculed after claiming France’s president has put together a hit team, including at least one Israeli assassin, to kill her.
Right-wing podcaster and conspiracy theorist Candace Owens has accused French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, of putting together a hit team to assassinate the 36-year-old American influencer.
In a post to her X account over the weekend, Owens claimed she had received a warning from a “high-ranking employee” of the French government that the French first couple have arranged for her assassination.
“URGENT Two days ago I was contacted by a high-ranking employee of the French Government,” Owens wrote.
