For three decades, Democrats and some Republicans vowed to stop Iranโs nuclear ambitions. President Trump is the one who actually did it.
In 1995, Bill Clinton warned of Iran’s nuclear threat. George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris all echoed the same promise: Iran will not get a nuclear weapon. Yet, year after year, those promises proved hollow.
President Trump ended that cycle. While his predecessors talked, he acted. Operation Midnight Hammer wasn’t just a warning—it was a decisive military strike that eliminated Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Trump pretended to negotiate, all while preparing to deliver a blow that stopped Iran’s nuclear march in its tracks.
The same Democrats who had demanded action for years are now condemning it. Sen. Chuck Schumer once said, “We must do everything we can to avoid a nuclear Iran.” Now he criticizes Trump for doing exactly that. Rep. Jerry Nadler previously insisted military action might be necessary. Yet after Trump acted, Nadler called the operation “reckless.” Nancy Pelosi had called Iran a threat to global security. Now, she claims Trump’s strike risks “destabilization.”
