eBay Laying off Dozens of Israeli Employees

The Israelis are just a small fraction of the 500 employees overall that eBay is letting go who constitute about 4% of its global workforce

eBay, the world’s best-known e-commerce firm that pioneered the sale of items – both retail and wholesale – online after starting out as just a place for people to hold online yard sales and so forth announced that it is laying off several dozen of its 300 employees in Israel.

Several other large international firms, including Facebook, have already laid off Israeli employees.

And many homegrown Israeli firms – both startups and established ones like Wix – have been forced to make cutbacks, firing many employees over the past 6 months.
