The President of the United States was present at a secret meeting of intelligence officials including senior representatives of the US Congress on the Iran issue and Plan B plans in case the nuclear talks fail.

U.S. officials present at the meeting reportedly claimed that because hopes were diminishing in the diplomatic route pertaining to the Iranian nuclear program, the intention was for Washington to tighten sanctions against Iran if necessary.
