Joint statement from the IDF and Shin Bet spokespersons: The IDF and Shin Bet attacked overnight a concentration of terrorists who were in a command and control complex of the Hamas and PIJ terrorist organizations that was established in the area that previously served as the 'Yaffa' school in the Gaza City area.
The command and control complex was used by the terrorists to plan and carry out terrorist acts against citizens of the State of Israel and IDF forces.
Prior to the attack, steps were taken to reduce the chance of harming civilians, including the use of precision weapons, aerial strikes, and additional intelligence information.
The terrorist organizations systematically violate international law, while cruelly exploiting civilian institutions and the population as human shields for terrorist acts. The IDF and Shin Bet will continue to act forcefully and decisively against all terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip.
