The UK’s Times newspaper reported that Israel’s recent military operation dealt a major blow to Iran’s missile program, which included long-range ballistic missiles capable of striking European cities like London.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Oren Marmorstein told The Times that Iran has built the world’s largest arsenal of ballistic missiles, some of which are intercontinental and “not aimed at us, but at European cities – like London.”
According to the report, during the 12-day war, Israel executed a highly sophisticated operation against Iran’s ballistic missile infrastructure, including fortified underground nuclear bunkers. The strike reportedly destroyed a secret program to develop long-range warheads that could reach London. This significantly delayed Iran’s global missile ambitions, crippling research and key facilities.
Despite the military success, diplomatic ties between Israel and the UK have hit a new low.
