WATCH: Israel appeals to Syria to return remains of Spy Eli Cohen
Israelis call on the new Syrian regime for a gesture of goodwill.
Attached is the video taken at Eli Cohen's execution.
"We appeal to the humanity of Syrian President Ahmad Hussein al-Sharaa to exhume the remains of Eli Cohen, who was executed by President Amin al-Hafez in Marjeh Square in Damascus on May 18, 1965, and hand them over to us through an intermediary to be buried on Mount Herzl in the Holy of Holies."
