The Al-Jazeera network's website has been attacked since this morning by a group of Israeli hackers who call themselves the "Silencers of Evil".
In the last few minutes, one of Algazira's servers was brought down, and the hackers say that they will not rest until the main site of the network is also brought down.
The current takedown was done against Al-Jazeera servers that access their news through an API (information sharing interface).
The attack takes place simultaneously from dozens to hundreds of servers scattered all over the world: the USA, Asia and Europe and it means that external websites that draw information from Al-Jazeera cannot do so. That is: the volume of exposure to Al-Jazeera's reports on the web is now significantly reduced.
The next attack will be carried out simultaneously on hundreds of additional servers scattered in dozens of locations around the world, as mentioned - with the aim of bringing down the network's website.
