Syrian soldiers sit in the observation posts and gather intelligence on the Israeli side - using observation devices that Hezbollah bought for them.
They pass the information they collect to Hezbollah.
The two elements in Hezbollah who perfect the gathering of intelligence and manage the attempt to establish themselves in southern Syria are Hajj Hashem and his son Jawad who operate in the area.
