Iranian lawmaker Abolfazl Zohrevand threatened that Azerbaijan could be “wiped off the map” within three or four hours if it crosses Iran, while calling for Tehran, Moscow and Beijing to establish a joint military command
Zohrevand, a member of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, made the remarks in an interview published on the Tahririeh Plus YouTube channel on June 6.
The Iranian MP claimed that Tehran would retaliate so forcefully against any country that attacks it that the aggressor would never recover. Directly threatening Azerbaijan, he said Baku “could be wiped off the map in a matter of three or four hours,” warning: “So it better not cross us.”
Zohrevand also argued that Iran had acted rationally and had refrained from moving against the UAE, Kuwait and Azerbaijan until those countries allegedly attacked Iran.
