Netanyahu immigrated to Israel with her family in 1924. Netanyahu studied law at the Mandatory School of Law, graduating in 1946. In 1949, she married Elisha Netanyahu, uncle of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In 1969 Netanyahu was appointed to the Haifa Magistrate’s Court and in 1974 to the District Court. In 1981 Netanyahu was appointed to the Supreme Court, where she remained in service until her retirement in 1993
