Hezbollah in Lebanon claims to have uncovered several Mossad spy units

NEWSRAEL: Before reading this "shaking" report, it must be said that Lebanon is now in the process of elections. Arab "resistance" (anti-Israel) parties always use their "achievements" against the "Zionist Entity" in order to garner votes, and if they don't have any achievements - they make them up, just like many politicians around the world would do.

The Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese newspaper al-Akhbar reports that Lebanese security forces have uncovered more than 15 Israeli spy networks in recent weeks, each cut off from each other, operating throughout Lebanon and reaching as far as Syria.

According to the newspaper, this is one of the largest operations of the security forces since 2009. According to the report, more than 35 people have been interrogated so far (Lebanese from all ethnic groups, Syrians and Palestinians). 20 of them are detained in the information branch of the Lebanese security forces, one is detained by Hezbollah and another is detained in Syria.

According to the report, in the information industry, a mole was found inside the apparatus itself in a sensitive position and in addition it turned out that one of the Hezbollah members from the southern region was also recruited. More details from the Al-Akhbar newspaper report - According to the report, members of one of the spy networks seized in the city of Sidon in southern Lebanon are preparing to carry out some security operation in the city.

As mentioned, one of the suspects in the spy network is a Syrian who was arrested in Damascus in coordination between the Syrian security forces and Hezbollah. He admitted that he monitored civilian, military and commercial facilities and provided maps of roads and buildings in Damascus without knowing the purpose of the information gathering. In addition, according to the Lebanese newspaper, there was a concentrated effort in the context of Hamas organizations in the refugee camps in Lebanon, with the operatives asking the recruits to follow Palestinian figures outside the camps they come to, to track down places intended for military use.

According to the report, the investigation in this context focuses on the suspects (one of whom was arrested) in connection with the explosion of the Hamas weapons depot in the al-Burj a-Shamali camp last December.

The report in the Al-Ahbar newspaper (which is affiliated with Hezbollah) takes care to emphasize that the members of the networks came from Tripoli (the powerful Sunni stronghold in Lebanon) and that they had a great hatred for Hezbollah. It was further alleged that one of them was linked to a "senior political figure".
