Against the backdrop of the confrontation between Iran and the United States and Israel, a coalition of human rights organizations and activists has formed in the West calling under the slogan "No war with Iran" to avoid confrontation with Tehran.
Organizations like CodePink, Democracy Now!, Zeteo, and Independent Jewish Voices present the campaign as a defense of peace and human rights.
However, according to Rawan Othman, a researcher at the Jerusalem Center for Foreign Affairs and Security, this stance reveals a deep contradiction: the same activists who present themselves as defenders of women's rights, minorities, and democracy are actually defending one of the most repressive regimes in the world.
The Iranian regime carries out hundreds of executions every year, violently suppresses protests, discriminates against women and minorities, and at the same time funds and arms militant organizations across the Middle East.
