Trump warns he may send military forces to Baltimore, Chicago, and New York due to crime
US President Donald Trump warned that he might send military forces to cities like Baltimore, Chicago, and New York to deal with their high crime rates.
The remarks came following a dispute between Trump and Maryland Governor Wes Moore, who invited Trump for a security tour in Baltimore. Trump responded on his social media with sharp criticism of the city's crime statistics, mentioning that he had already used the military in Washington.
Moore replied that the crime rate in Baltimore is on a downward trend, even emphasizing that murder cases in the city have dropped by 24% compared to last year. Democratic leaders in Chicago and New York also opposed the possibility of deploying military forces in their areas.
