Habib Al-Halawi, head of the political wing of the Iranian-backed Shiite militia Asaib Ahl Al-Haq and leader of the Al-Sadiqoun bloc in the Iraqi Parliament, appeared on Al-Ahd TV (Iraq) on November 30, 2024.
In the interview, Al-Halawi claimed that the armed groups in Syria were able to mobilize quickly against the Assad regime due to an arrangement between the U.S., Israel, and Turkey.
He argued that these groups were not acting independently but were part of a broader effort to open a new front aimed at weakening the Iranian-led “Axis of Resistance.”
