BREAKING: Syria has imposed entry restrictions on Palestinians

Palestinians now require pre-approved permits, applied for by a guarantor or relative, according to local reports — a sharp reversal of prior policy.

In Aug 2024, the Bashar al-Assad government had removed visa requirements for Palestinian passport holders as a political signal of solidarity. That decision has now been overturned following the change in power.
