Diplomatic confusion grows and leaders trade statements

Iran airspace closure: Iran issued a NOTAM closing its airspace to all flights except international flights to and from Iran with prior permission.

The NOTAM is valid for just over two hours. Aircraft are being rerouted to avoid the region.

Iraqi and Iranian airspace are being cleared as flights divert.
