Bahraini writer Jafar Salman rejected Iranian claims over Bahrain, saying Iran is a defeated state while Bahrain is independent.
Bahraini writer Jafar Salman delivered a sharp response on Al-Arabiya Network to Iranian analyst Dr. Mossadegh Pour, who claimed that Bahrain had “seceded” from Iran in 1970 and remains Iranian soil.
Salman rejected the claim outright, saying Bahrain expelled the Iranians in a naval battle 250 years ago and that no exchange took place. He added that Iran is now a defeated state, while Bahrain is a sovereign and independent country.
When the Iranian analyst argued that Bahrain was geographically part of Iran, Salman responded with sarcasm: “You can also claim that Mars is part of Iran.”
