The IDF have mobilized five reserve brigades as part of Operation Gideon's Chariots, significantly strengthening military presence in Gaza, the Northern Front, and now, Judea and Samaria
This mobilization includes two newly activated reserve brigades—one Infantry and one Armor—joining three others called up last week. In total, approximately 18,500 soldiers are deployed, fully supported with logistics, medical units, artillery, and UAV surveillance.
Deployment Overview:
Gaza Front: Three brigades, including the Givati Reserve Brigade, are spearheading urban warfare and tunnel-clearance operations. Armored units are securing key entry points, while artillery provides suppression fire. Strategic objectives include dismantling Hamas's command infrastructure, destroying rocket launch sites, and neutralizing underground networks.
Northern Front: Reserve forces have replaced regular units, with Reserve Armor Brigade 8 ("The Old One") now stationed in Lebanon, and the Alexandroni Reserve Brigade securing the Syrian Security Zone. This strategic adjustment allows regular IDF forces to rest, regroup, and train for the next phase of operations.
