This morning, the Israeli Navy carried out a missile-boat strike on targets belonging to the Houthi terror regime at the port of Hodeidah in Yemen.
The operation was a direct response to recent Houthi aggression toward Israel, which included the launch of surface-to-surface missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles aimed at Israeli territory and civilians.
The strike aimed to further impair the port’s ongoing military use. Although previously targeted by Israel over the past year, the port continues to serve as a key base for terrorist activities and arms transfers. The IDF described it as another example of the Houthis’ cynical exploitation of civilian infrastructure for terror purposes.
According to the military, multiple warnings were issued in advance to minimize harm to civilians in the area.
The Houthi regime, supported, funded, and guided by Iran, has escalated its hostility over the past 18 months — targeting Israel and its allies, disrupting regional stability, and threatening global maritime routes.
Given the continued military use of the Hodeidah port, the IDF reiterated its warning for all those present in the area to evacuate immediately.
