A report claims a Texas businessman donated nearly $150,000 to anti-Israel candidates and political efforts, with a super PAC planning to spend tens of millions in the 2026 House races.
New investigative reporting reveals that Texas businessman "Sam" Mahrouq has directed significant funding toward political figures and organizations critical of Israel. The donations reportedly include contributions to members of the progressive congressional group known as “the Squad,” including Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.
The report also states that Mahrouq donated approximately $100,000 to a super PAC designed to counter the influence of pro-Israel groups and help elect candidates who oppose current US policy toward Israel.
According to the investigation, Mahrouq and members of his family also donated to Representative Thomas Massie and former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, placing them within the same donor network backing some of the most vocal critics of Israel in US politics.
