On the day of the Givati Brigade's attack on Khan Yunis, Lt. Col. Asaf Hammi, who fought and commanded shoulder to shoulder with the brigade commander, Lt. Col. Liron Batito, was laid to rest.
The Givati Brigade commander dedicated the attack order to his memory.
