Three IDF battalions and additional forces from the Border Guard and the Shi'ite District Police operated in a large-scale operation in the city of Qalqilya to thwart terrorism led by the Ephraim Brigade.

As part of the operation, the forces operated in many areas of the city, searched hundreds of locations, and confiscated various weapons, including an M16 weapon, a barrel, and dozens of bullets.

In addition, the forces arrested weapons dealers, terrorists, and suspects involved in preparing explosives. During the operation, IDF forces opened fire and neutralized a terrorist who posed a risk to the force and threw a suspicious object at them.

All of the suspects who were arrested were transferred for further investigation to the Israel Police and Shin Bet.
