As part of the air package prepared in preparation for the attack, the Air Force planes were placed in the sky on a continuous patrol for 12 hours before the attack.

At any given moment during those hours, there were 2 planes in the air - and every two hours the pair of planes was changed.

As soon as the intelligence gave the final approval for the location of Deif and the execution of the attack - within a few minutes the planes went into action and dropped their combat bombs.
