The campaign against Israel is costing Hezbollah a lot of money. As of today, there are approximately 90,000 residents of South Lebanon who have left their homes in South Lebanon.
Since the Lebanese state is in collapse and without resources and since most of the evacuees are supporters of Hezbollah and the Amal movement, the two Shiite movements are taking on the task of compensation.
According to reports from Lebanon, at the beginning of the month of Ramadan, Hezbollah gave a grant of 200 dollars to each family that was evacuated from their home. He gave an additional 200 dollars to families at the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid al-Fitr, that is, a total of 400 dollars last month per family.
In normal months, Hezbollah gives each family $100 worth of aid. Hezbollah has also distributed thousands of food baskets to the displaced families.
At this point, Hezbollah announced that it would help the families whose homes were destroyed, but only at the end of the war.
In a rough estimate, Hezbollah has spent over 10 million dollars on compensation since October 7.
