The Mossad, Israel’s intelligence agency, took the unusual step of offering Israeli telemedicine services to Iranian citizens in a tweet posted on Thursday.
“Dear people of Iran, A ceasefire has been implemented. Now, the extent of the damage is becoming clear. At this moment, the regime is focused on its senior percentages, not on caring for its citizens. We stand with you and have formed a team of specialized doctors, including experts in cardiology, diabetes, pulmonary diseases, infectious diseases, oncology, as well as support for pregnant women and psychological support,” the agency tweeted in Farsi.
“Senior doctors in various and numerous specialties are available for every need and case, including wounds and injuries, first aid, pain, illness, and any other consultation, provided through TELEMEDICINE.”
The tweet added that Iranians can communicate with doctors in Persian or English and instructed people to reach out using a virtual private network (VPN). The tweet said medical professionals could be contacted through WhatsApp, Telegram, or Signal, as well as phone numbers listed in the tweet.
