Marwan Barghouti is a terrorist serving 5 consecutive life sentences in Israel for directing suicide bombings and other terror atrocities.

He is very popular among Palestinians and some call him the most revered political leader they have. He has been touted as a successor to Mahmoud Abbas to lead the PA and Hamas has requested his release in a prisoner swap.

This wide spread support is emblematic of the deep pathology of violence and hate in the culture. Hamas is a corrupt, genocidal Islamist party. The PA, with its pay for slay program and corruption is unfit for leadership. There can be no Palestinian state for this violent and corrupt people.
