The “North Baka” plan promoted by the Israel Land Authority for the establishment of a new residential neighborhood of approximately 844 units in the northern Arab city Baqa al-Gharbiyye has been approved for deposit.
The planed neighborhood would be in the northern part of the city and cover approximately 30 acres. It will have building of between four and six floors. The program complex is planned on the area of the Shifona waste landfill in the northern part of the city, south of the villages Kibbutz Kfar Metzer and the Arab village Meiser.
In addition to the residences, the plan proposes an outline for a system of roads including an access road on the southwest side of the development to Wadi El Haroubi Street, a system of pedestrian paths and infrastructure, open public space and extensive public institutions and buildings, including two new schools.
The plan includes residential areas (about 63,000 square meters), institutions and public buildings (about 19,000 square meters), open public spaces (about 1,300 square meters), open areas and institutions and public buildings (about 9,400 square meters) and road infrastructure (about 41,000 square meters).
The plan was designed by a team headed by architects Ayala Ronal and Shad Agbaria from the office “Ronal Architects.”
