The Arab militia in Gaza coordinated with Israel

Yasser Abu Shabab stated the following in an interview with an Arab media outlet:

Newsrael News Desk 03.07.2025

"I am Yasser Abu Shabab, commander of the 'Popular Forces' militia. We are not affiliated with any organization or government.

Our weapons are light arms supplied by the Tarabin tribe, not by Israel. We coordinate with Israel.

The massacre of October 7 does not represent us—it was the implementation of a foreign Iranian ideology. We have condemned the massacre from day one."
