The U.S., France, Germany, and the U.K. have reportedly given Iran until the end of August to accept a new nuclear deal or face the return of harsh international sanctions
President Donald Trump said that Iran is eager to resume negotiations with the United States for a new nuclear deal, but that he does not feel the matter is time-sensitive because of the widespread damage to Iran’s key nuclear facilities.
Iran “would like to talk. I’m in no rush to talk because we obliterated their sites,” Trump told reporters at the White House on Tuesday.
On Monday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and his French, German, and British counterparts reportedly agreed to set a deadline for nuclear talks with Iran, according to Axios.
