Responding to questions on the recent Israeli strike in Qatar, he stressed that the decision was his alone and taken independently. 

He also revealed that he and government ministers face daily assassination threats, warning that such attempts are “a threat to democracy.”

Rubio, speaking on behalf of the U.S. president, praised Israel’s friendship with Washington and noted the joint opening of a major archaeological site in the City of David.
