Israel’s Ministry of Defense has signed a major NIS 67 million deal with IWI (Israel Weapon Industries) for the purchase of advanced Negev 7 and Negev UX machine guns.
Set to be fulfilled between 2026 and 2027, the deal is designed to significantly strengthen the firepower of the IDF's ground forces. It also includes a full maintenance package to ensure long-term operational readiness.
The Defense Ministry’s procurement division signed the deal through its Land Procurement Department. The new 7.62mm caliber machine guns will come with full logistical support and ongoing servicing.
The Negev UX model, developed in collaboration with the IDF, has already proven its value as a powerful “force multiplier” in ground operations during the Iron Swords War, thanks to its combination of light weight, high mobility, and heavy firepower.
