Kuwaiti columnist, Faisal Muhammad bin Sabt, says the US-Israel war against Iran was not an accident, but the direct result of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, which he argues allowed Tehran to grow stronger instead of stopping its nuclear ambitions.
According to the MEMRI-reported column, Bin Sabt argues that the Obama-era deal gave Iran time, money, legitimacy and diplomatic cover while failing to dismantle the regime’s dangerous military and nuclear infrastructure.
The columnist says the war became justified because the world ignored the warnings for years. Instead of confronting Tehran early, Western powers tried to contain the regime through agreements, promises and inspection mechanisms that Iran was able to exploit.
His central message is clear: the war did not begin because Israel or the US wanted escalation. It began because Iran was allowed to build power under a weak diplomatic framework that did not stop its regional aggression, its proxy terror network or its nuclear ambitions.
