Members of Congress in the US demand to examine the use of routers from the Chinese company TP-Link.

Two US members of Congress are urging an investigation into the cybersecurity risks posed by Chinese-made Wi-Fi routers, specifically from a company called TP-Link Technology and its partners.
In the letter they wrote to the US Department of Commerce, they cited and brought documentation of cases in which TP-Link routers were used to harm officials in European countries. Lawmakers also described known vulnerabilities in products that could be exploited for criminal purposes.
Last year, the US revealed a hacking campaign backed by the Chinese regime called Volt Typhoon.
