A new report reveals that George Soros’s “Open Society Foundations” have funneled around $80 million to groups connected to terrorism or violent extremism. To discuss the findings, NTD journalist Steve Lance spoke with Ryan Mauro, a researcher at the Capital Research Center.
“I went through every grant I could find and looked into the organizations, since many had unfamiliar names,” Mauro explained. “I examined what they did and what they said — and that’s how I arrived at more than $80 million that, since 2016, went to organizations supporting terrorism. That includes groups connected to foreign terrorist organizations in places like Gaza, as well as about $23 million directed to at least seven groups that openly encourage or contribute to riots, crimes, and violent property destruction in the United States.”
Mauro added, “To be fair to Soros, some of the money does go to groups that protest against Russia, China, and Iran. There’s inconsistency among the recipients of Soros funding.”
He continued, “The real amount is definitely far beyond $80 million if you include hate groups — particularly anti-American ones — that poison American and Western society with propaganda and antisemitic stereotypes. Whenever you support regimes like Russia, Iran, or China, you’re spreading lies and fueling an anti-democratic mindset. There’s not only a terror threat — there’s a cultural and societal health threat as well.”
