The Israeli anti-drone company Sentrycs has announced the integration of its technology into Rafael's Drone Dome system—an advanced modular air defense solution designed to detect, identify, and neutralize drone threats.
Drone Dome combines radar, electro-optical cameras, advanced tracking sensors, and electronic warfare (soft kill) to neutralize all types of drones in a defined area.
Sentrycs specializes in RF (radio frequency) technology and will add an intelligence layer to the system, enhancing its ability to quickly distinguish between authorized and unauthorized drones. This upgrade will also reduce false alarms, improve signal identification, and locate both the drone and its operator.
Identifying the operator is particularly crucial, as it allows for faster disruption of coordinated drone activity. Unlike traditional systems that rely on layered detection, Sentrycs engages directly with a drone’s communication protocols, enabling instant recognition and tracking from the moment a signal is detected. This protocol-level analysis gives the system broader situational awareness and faster threat response capabilities.
