Israel is considering closing the British and French consulates in Jerusalem

This is in retaliation for British and French recognition of a Palestinian state

Yes, this is a big deal, because if Israel shuts these consulates and expels its diplomats, don’t be shocked if Paris and London send Israeli diplomats packing too.

But don’t get too excited. Israel is not closing the official French and British embassies to the Jewish state, which sit in Tel Aviv.
