Israel’s new security cabinet will convene for the first time on Sunday, under the leadership of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.
The meeting of the ministers’ forum will come on the backdrop of the renewal of the incendiary attacks from the Gaza Strip and violent public disorders along the security border.
The cabinet that was approved on Wednesday will include, other than Bennett, Foreign Minister and Alternate Prime Minister Yair Lapid, Defense Minister Benny Gantz, Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman, and Justice Minister Gideon Sa’ar.
Also included are Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked, Transportation Minister Merav Michaeli, Public Security Minister Omer Bar-Lev, Education Minister Yifat Shasha-Biton, Construction and Housing Minister Ze’ev Elkin and Religious Services Minister Matan Kahana.
